Cook gave his team an early lead with a goal just 21 minutes into the game and would go on to score the game winning goal on a breakaway in overtime.
Raul Belman Romero, a freshman from Celaya, Mexico, was named the SLIAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. He picked up a pair of conference wins in net last weekend for the Blue Jays. Romero came up with four saves in the Blue Jay’s 2-1 win over Fontbonne and followed with two saves in a 1-0 shutout win over Spalding.
